Help! Transmission P engaged symbol car shuts off!

Last week my car shut off as I was driving. It went into N and Transmission engaged symbol appeared. I had it towed and I was told that fuel pump codes displayed on the scanner. I replaced the fuel pump. A day later my car did the same thing! This time I was in a drive through and the car killed on me with the same freaking symbol AND again today in traffic! "Transmission Engaged" my vehicle killed and was in P. I had to restart a couple of times. I will be heading back to my mechanic. What could be the problem??? It has about 74,500 miles oil change 2 weeks ago. I am a lady and I am terrified of this happening again on the fwy. This is my second beamer and I am definitely thinking about trading it in for a new CLA.
