2006-2010 650i

My best friend is wanting to buy an '06-10 650i and wants me to help pick it out. I come from the e36 m3 side, so don't know much about the 650i. What are their typical issues? I'll be pushing him to get a manual, but he's fine with an auto. My other friends' mom had the earlier 745i and that had two tranny failures before she ditched it, so don't know if it's the same one that is in the 650. Thanks!

Make sure to get a full PPI report before buying the car. From what I remember reading and hearing, the 6 series before the current redesign was not the most reliable of cars after about 60k miles - other members should chime in for this one to confirm.
