Just realized your obd2 that won't work. Anyways I have obd2 from trm and it's wonderful.
Damn
I had read through Raj's thread and saw that something had happened to h is car but couldn't find exactly what? The thread has ton of pages.
So oil return to dip stick tube is leaking pretty badly.
Anywhere else to return oil other the pan? Vanos bolt maybe?
Don't see why the vanos bolt wouldn't work. Would be a lot of oil in the timing cover which leads back down to oil pan anyway, right?
Returning to the vanos bolt would not work. 4an is not an adequate drain.
Yes, turbo return from scavenge pump to here:
Either one of those bolts. Either replace them with 90 degree flange or tap the center of one the bolts out and put a fitting.
I tried to the dip stick flange where the CCV system used to connect into but oil is leaking everywhere. I dont think the tube is mean to handle the amount of oil thats being put through it?
Thanks for helping me work out the kinks! almost done...

Dipstick tube works if you drill 5/16 hole through main stem inside pan above oil level.
Out of curiosity, does anyone see a problem with using the area above?
It won't drain fully otherwise. Dinan figured this out 15-20 years ago on its Vortech supercharger kits. I had a Dinan/RMS kit with V2 blower and did this. I later changed to a turbo and routed the scavenge discharge to the same place for a little while without issue. I had the pan off later when building an engine and welded a bung nearby for even more direct draining -- my discharge was about 12 inches long. When you shut down any oil in the lines collects. It can back up to the turbo drain. That is why I like a small collector reservoir under the turbo with the line very slightly angling down to the pump on the x brace on the other side of the trans, with a short line back into the pan. BB turbos use less oil so there are fewer issues. I still used a restrictor and -3 feed though.
You could return to the head as suggested but it's a longer line that will drain back down after shutoff. If you do that consider a shut down timer to keep running the pump for 30 seconds and maybe even a check valve in your feed line.

I'm confused as to why we are trying to reinvent the wheel here.
Where does your turbo drain too?
I really don't feel like dropping the subframe/ps rack or whatever else to tap the oil pan. I also don't want to pull the dip stick tube and use it because it I don't think an o-ring that seals the tube is meant for a constant flow of oil going to it. Even though the tube is secured to intake manifold, I don't see as a reliable method. I could go to check my oil one day, move the tube a bit 'too' much and have leak.
With that said I've tapped one of the Vanos bolts and have run the tubing from the scavenge pump up to it. I've also wired a switch that can run the pump for X amount of time after shutoff. However, I am still getting blue smoke in exhaust which leads me to believe the oil is still backing up. Only smoke when given mild throttle
I plan to install a tank and an additional spump near the strut tower to help move the oil. The pump has a made a gurgling/spitting sound which means oil isn't moving steadily. My best guess is is spump isn't close enough to the turbo.
I don't mind spending the few extra $ to make the vanos bolt work at this point considering how much I've spent already and especially if it will stop me from tapping the oil pan

What about just returning to where the drain plug is in the oil pan?
I thought about replacing or tapping the oil drain bolt with a fitting but was unsure how the pump would handle pushing oil against oil? something I would consider. But I don't want tap the hole for a larger fitting because I'd then have to drop the pan and remove the metal shavings.
was looking into using something like this: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-fumoto-p...FQpWDQodoVYI8A - the male to female adapter is all I would really need I could then get a flange to connect the oil drain too. If I only knew what size
I just went out and started the car again, revved it up and minimal to no smoke this time? So I don't know... I'm thinking I should be good with a few minor adjustments. Ran my finger around the exhaust housing and didn't notice any oil

Hey guys,
Was looking at the AEM afr, kind of pricey for what it is, anyone have an equivalent for a lower price?
Also looking into aem boost controller gauge any experience with it?
innovate makes the scg-1 which does both AFR and boost control. I haven't used this, but I have had their regular LC-2 wideband but I ended up swapping it out for the AEM unit a year or so back.
I also have the AEM Tru-boost, it is simple enough for me, I would have bought a e-boost but couldn't find one in a 52mm gauge as I wanted it on my Rally road gauge pod(I think they now sell 60mm adapters though)

My $0.02 is to bit the bullet and buy a Zetronix kit.
I have had AEM, plx, and innovate.
Buying the zetronix kit starts a data logging system. Being able to log really helps not only seeing where your at, but help diag problems.
Rpm, TPS, AFR, boost, fuel pressure, and also a user (I log methanol injection). Start out with a basic kit. Then add over time.
Tapping into the factory harness is simple as hell.
