Strange noise

This morning on the way to work in the dark

There was a strange noise from behind the dash air vents above 10 mph i think.

As i went faster it got noisier on the way home in daylight there was no sounds
But when i operated the lights the noise was straight back turning off the light it stopped

Hard to offer suggestions without more details of the noise. Check your light pod adjusters for secure mounting & that the covers are not loose. May be rattling in the breeze. Also check the dampers.

I experienced something similar a couple of years ago. It might be a loose plastic shroud up under the windshield wiper. When the lights are raised, there is increased turbulence over the hood, which can change the pitch of the vibration. I would usually hear it when the lights were up.

I will look at the black plastic shroud at the weekend as i did remove it at the end last year to clean and remove leaves, thanks.

TOOK THE CAR FOR A QUICK FAST DRIVE
NOISE STILL THERE
lOOKED UNDER THE HOOD AND YES THE PLASTIC SMALL COVER TO THE LEFT OF THE WINDSCREEN BLACK COVER WAS LOOSE 2 FIXINGS REPLACED AND NO MORE NOISE WHEN HEADLIGHTS UP

Do you only get it when the heater /fan is closed /off? Or is it all the time?
