May I please get info on how to correct a trouble code 1089
look here it says 1089 is: O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response in Lean Control Range (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
seems like your post-cat sensor is suspect. This is no big deal as it simply monitors the effectiveness of your catalytic converter, but if in your area you can't pass smog with a trouble code lodged, I'd consider replacing that O2 sensor.
If you have a DMM you can review the performance of the sensor, other software can probably do it too.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to add value to these threads, either by pictures or by descriptions, so the next person with the same or similar problem stands on your shoulders.
The sensors service life is 100,000mi. If you are receiving a code for a particular O2 sensor fault, and it's near or over its useful life, replace it.
Sorry I took so long to reply. That was my first instinct, just wasn't sure if I needed to correct a "Lean" issue first. Thanks
I would have suspected an intake leak causing a lean fuel condition if codes P0171,P0174 were displayed,
along with misfire codes possibly. The slow response time code, with no other codes indicating a leak,
leads me to conclude that the 02 sensor is failing. I'm not ruling out that an intake leak is present, just not confirmed.
The age(15yrs)of the sensor, along with the code, and suspected high mileage, has me pointing the finger at the sensor.
