So I rebuilt my FTP harness and am using LED's in the both front housings, but not the turn signal. Now when I turn on the signal all four lights flash instead of one.
Can someone help?
Thank you!

I'm not sure after the harness but the only free brow wire goes to the H3 light bulb carrier. I replaced each bulb with it's original bulb and there is no change. Also, my trunk actuator is not working as well now, likely unrelated i guess.
The FTP's did work before i made new harnesses. I used a larger gauge wire, would that be problematic?

Each bulb should have its own ground coming into pin #1 at the harness (according to wiring diagram)
I'm also sure it is the BROWN wire. It is a single conductor that is strung along each bulb in turn like Christmas tree lights - if you lose the connection to the cars chassis connection via the connector then they will all flash:

The rears flash without the ftp's even plugged in, is that BECAUSE the ftp's aren't plugged in, or is it indicative of another issue? I should add that I have a UAS remote entry set up going and it taps into the flashers to indicate lock and unlock. The buttons work fine and the car flashes when locked and unlocked. It's a simple two wire tap into the flasher harness.
Thanks for the help so far folks

Timm can you post the LED's you used in the FTP, all of them? I read your post and wanted a little brighter look. Also, did you use LED's in the turn signals?

I have LED sidelights - all explained here:
http://www.meeknet.co.uk/e31/BMW_E31...in_the_FTP.htm
and FTP main-beams - all explained here:

I have LED rear indicators as explained at the end of the first link, you cannot have both front and rear LED indicators as they don't demand enough current. I preferred having rear LED indicators than LED indicators in the FTP's. I used the same LED units in the pop-up main-beams as I used in the FTP main-beams. As I am in the UK you will have to search the US Ebay to find the units that I have pictured!

Thanks Timm! I don't think you list the name of the hails you use for the main lights...

Cool Timm, I like the LED highbeam update - do you have a comparison of LEDs in the main-beam projectors? I have HIDs at the moment and would consider swapping them out for LEDs.
In regards to LEDs in the indicators, I used LED front FTP indicators because the location of them (so low) made it hard to see, and changing these to LED made it significantly easier to see in the day and night.
Peezen, also check back past the harness especially if you ran new sections ... I found a bunch of problems in the area between the buckets and the cable connectors when I rebuilt my harness. Just fiddling with the original harness caused bad grounds on mine and it caused all sorts of lighting weirdness... speaking of which...
So where is everyone stowing their ballasts?

Not sure if this is the problem you are describing but some LEDs will flash when they are not switched on due to the lamp check if no loading resistor, or timms thermistor fix is used.
EDIT:
It would appear your fault is not what I suggested afterrereading the thread, apologies.
