My doorhandle gaskets arrived yest from Japan... Better service than one usually gets from the US Postal Service! I'll install the drivers one tmrw.
How's the fit?
Hah! Today was a good day for me to install at least the drivers door gasket... But I searched EVERYWHERE, and couldn't find them today. Of course my girlfriend found the envelope in a minute when I told her my plight. I'll try the install tmrw! I'll make a video for YouTube with however they fit.

So good news and bad news, the good news is the gaskets fits exactly perfectly 100%, could not be better at all. The bad news is I was talking to a friend for 2 hours so I didn't make a video of me putting the gasket on and reinstalling the trim coverplate.
There was no gasket between the trim plate and the lock, and I'm sure a little rubber gasket fell off because I found something on the ground, so I put it back, it was a little dry but shouldn't a lock gasket come with door lock gaskets?
Dunno if they ever came with one just for the lock cylinder, it's a pretty tight space.
How's the heater valve and the rest?
No need to make pics of my gaskets installed, plenty on the net like they fit nicely compared to the cheapo ones on Ebay http://www.abload.de/img/tr_vorne2a0kyr.jpg http://www.abload.de/img/tr_hinten29gk6v.jpg
there is no other gasket which can fall off

In case # 5 gasket fell off, then you are missing nut/lock ring # 3 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=41_0701
because the gasket is held by the nut http://infinitier.ddo.jp/e32/images/...50702/53-9.jpg
but maybe it was just the rest of the old doorhandle gasket, often they fall completely apart.
Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
I found two gasket lock o-rings. I only installed the thinner of the two between the lock and trim plate. IMO I may add a thin bead of black silicone in the tiny gap between the trimplate and lock.
We're going away for the wknd, so I'll post something early next week. We're going to Boston, Salem Mass and Hemmings Musclepalooza. I was going to use my '65 Electra 225, but because of the rain, I'll leave it parked and use the V12

I noticed another issue...
When I turn a corner in town, at lo speed, I get a momentary rumble from the rt rear. It feels like a rumbly wheel bearing. It only lasts a second. I'll jack her up next week to see if I feel anything. It only makes the noise briefly, but is consistently there.
My windshield molding started howling, took me a while to figure out what it was. So I taped it back into place. What clips do I need? And the trim gasket could use replacing...
And moisture has invaded my headlamps. Suggestions?
Just look up "E32 my problem goes here" and it'll show up.
Clips are $1 each
So if you go back one page to post # 214, my offer was accepted on the commercial building with all the outbuildings, so In 45 days or so, my life will be changing drastically as I'll have to get back into the apartment building renovation business.
And I'm tired of driving around on bald Chinese mismatched tires, so I found a great deal at Discount Tire Direct, One rebate, One Credit Card discount, and free shipping on Cooper made in USA tires, so that's what I'll be going with
Getting life on track is always a priority. Is the Electra really bad in the rain, a 225in long\4800lb car without posi doesn't sound like the recipe for success? I'm pretty satisfied with my E32's harsh weather performance, and with the posi rear end feels more in control than my DSC equipped 540 (with an open diff).
E32 headlights are pretty much sealed beams, just silicone it up. Your cold start symptoms might actually be early MAF failure, see if you've got more power with them unplugged.

It seems to run too well for bad intake gaskets, but on the other hand, the idle seems hi, and it exhibits signs of a vacum leak, sputtering a bit.
So unplugging the MAF's does what? Limp mode?
And I didn't want to use the Buick in the rain, it's got enuff hidden rust. And I just put on a few new period spring hose clamps, I like the factory look, and I havn't started it since last November or so, so no time for a shakedown. And except for the heater only on hot using defrost and hi speed only, and the bald tires, and worn rear thrust bushings causing a nasty wheel shake at 55... I like driving it...
The Buick is almost fully loaded, no power vent windows, no tilt, no posiI

The biggest problem with the car has now shown up....ready for this? My girlfriend can't stand it that it hasn't got any cup holders, and she just dumped her coffee on it this morning, I forbade her from driving, and she told me to go to hell, so I guess she wins this. What do we do for a cup holder? $0.99 one that Clips onto the door panel?
And I haven't ordered the parts yet, I just wanted to sit down on my laptop and look at it full screen so I can get the best price from RockAuto and FCP.
I was poking around under the hood add notice I'm missing a bushing support on the oil filter to the fender well, and where the passenger mass air flow sensor attaches to a bulkhead, on the passenger side.
The windshield molding is fine, it probably just needs the clips, I'll bring it to my favorite trim shop, and maybe he has a special tool to help attach it
Oil leak has stayed exactly the same, nice puddles every time I turn it off

Cupholders are a sin and allowed for the Lexus to come into existence (true story). I just use a bottle but anything works. How much oil and coolant (if it indeed was) has it lost on the way to MA?

Probably meh quality, at least it's not URO. This same part is broken in both my 540 and in the E32. The power steering line (next to oil pan) bushing seems impossible to find. How'd unplugging the MAF affect the power?

Coolant is steady, doesn't seem to have gone down, oil is steady little puddles, burning on exhaust pipes... stinks..
The oil filter bushing could be $10! But $1.49??? WT?!?!

Why doesn't my 750 have tilt-adjustable steering???
Well my 1989 750 sure needs tilt steering, the steering wheel is really high for my girlfriend, it's really annoying and I totally agree with her
It makes me think of GM not having an extra cab pickup until 1988, Ford had one in the early seventies, and now it's the hottest selling thing, even double cab, four doors, half doors, blah blah blah blah...
My 99 Mercedes has powered tilt steering, and power headrest, total stupidity
E34s didn't even come with rear headrests (except the M5), but your E32 has a full power rear seat (including headrests).
stupidity, or genius? nobody knows really
