Okay, between my Cat Converter and my Resonator I had a leak, that was getting annoying and fumes would come in the the cabin while sitting still.
I got the car in the air, and felt the exhaust coming out between the two pipes that are connected between the Cat and Resonator. I removed the bolts that held the two flanges together, and this is what I found! A broken flange, that would explain why it was leaking at that connection. The pipes were NO longer pulled together tightly, and sealing.

Here's some photos of the area that needs PULLED back together.
But, I cannot just buy a new flange, because there is nowhere to slip it on. If that makes sense. They must install these flanges, and then flange the ends of the pipes. SO there is no way of putting a stock flange back on.
So heres my question. I cannot put a new stock flange in there.
Can I use a split flange if the holes line up with my existing flange? Or, if the bolts holes don't line up, can I put a split flange on both sides, to pull these two pipes back together?
Unless someone has a different idea?

A quick google search shows that for example advanceautoparts has Walker flange repair kits, similar to these http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/w...air-kit-36132/

Okay I see. That's what I was thinking of using. Hopefully the bolts holes line up between the split flange and my stock flange. If not maybe I can put a split flange on both side to pull it back together.
Okay two split flanges. I have a quiet car now.."happiness"..
Heres a fix to consider. You wouldnt need to cut the pipe to install this. C Flange Bracket fig2 extract.PNG.
