New To Bimmerforums. Where is the best place to get started?

Hey! I'm a budding auto enthusiast thats dabbled in performance driving school (M School, Alfa Romeo Owners), autocross, a couple track days at Willow Springs and such. I'm interested in finding events for noobs and a place where I can learn the detailed mechanics of BMWs (other cars as well). The anatomy of a bimmer if you will. There's a lot of material out there, so some help finding stuff for beginners would be great. So far I really like Engineering Explained on YouTube. I also grabbed the TSD Training Auto Mechanic - Engines ebook. Can anyone recommend suitable forums and learning materials/experiences?? Thanks!

Just check out the associated component forums, suspension, engine tuning, engine conversions etc. Or specific models (E36 M3 section is huge) and read, read, read.

Also check out http://www.realoem.com for cool exploded view parts diagrams.

Thanks! I'll check out the component forums. RealOEM is great - so many details, WOW.

Hang out with your Bimmer friends and discuss topics not related to BMWs. Come hang out where members date super models, drive Lamborghinis and Ferraris and there is an endless supply of D&G ties.
