    MAF sensor issue

    Hi everyone

Im new to this, and am in need of some suggestions:
My car , 116i e87 2006, has been shaking at idle quite vigorously, and if i step on the accelerator ligtly amd keep it in one spot, it goes up and then goes back down, amd then up again. It keeps doing this. Its never steady if i step on it and keep it in one place.
The fluctuating rev made me think it was the MAF sensor, so i got a new one, put it up and same thing.

When disconnect the sensor, everything seems fine. Even the revs. Only if i connect it back, all of a suddent , it starts again.

What could be causing this? Iv checked the wiring loom. Everything else seems fine.

Oo, and checked with 2 different obd2 reader, no code other 2e95 which apparently is the pointing to the 'generator'.

I suspect intake leak(s). You can try to locate the most obvious by physically inspecting intake boots, hoses, vacuum lines for brittleness and cracking.
A smoke test performed with a professional smoke machine will locate the more difficult to identify leaks.
For proper fuel supply verification, hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail, observe readings at idle and at other rpms during symptoms.

Perform a diagnostic scan, take note of all the codes that appear.
Post them up here so we can help diagnose.

Clear codes, then perform a drive cycle,
or until a warning light appears-then rescan for new codes, if any.
