    Hardtop value?

Seems search only turns up threads from 2013 and such. Got a shot at a 1997 Hellrot with 150K with what looks to be a pristine hardtop for $1800, although I'm going to offer $1500. Might keep the top for my 98 Hellrot and flip the vert straight out for 2K. Might keep it for the wife, not sure yet. Might flip both the car and the top for more money to out into my cars rehab. So, what's market value for a nice hardtop? Has the mounting hardware, since it's on the car now. What should I look for, since I've never seen a hardtop in person?

1500 is about par, depending on condition.

I have a 1994 hellrot e36 with a hardtop that I just picked up to part out and flip.

So, what if you dont have the mounting bits? I got this today, but dumbass me didnt realize that those bits were a separate thing. Guy says he sold the car right after I left with the top and he's going to try and get me those parts next weekend, but just in case?

Mounting brackets and wiring can be found at aftermarket companies for about $240. When I have them I sell them for $150. None at this time. Track that guy down and ensure you get the brackets AND the wiring. 2-10mm bolts for each bracket removal and the wiring can be removed from the connectors which are located on the left and right behing the upper rear seat.

$500 is an excellent price for just the HT!

Yeah, if he busts, I'm going to ask for the guys info so I can approach him myself. Point out that unless he spends $1,000, that hardware is useless to him. Also got to send a how to remove link to the guy I bought the top from. Make sure he gets the wiring.

Anything this doesn't capture as far as removing the "kit"? Wiring on both sides or just one? Not sure if the guy who sold me the top is going to get me involved in retrieving the kit from the car. I suppose I should check both of mine to see if either one of them has it already installed.
