Not sure what I think about this. Captured on I8 yesterday heading east out of Yuma. It was amoung a large convoy of cars leaving Midnight at the Oasis. http://www.midnightattheoasis.net/
I looked it up and it's a body kit for Z3s made by a Scottsdale company.

I respect that others have different tastes, and get to do what they want with their own cars, but I think it looks really bad. The Z3 has possibly the best looks ever, so why mess with it? Plus, for that money you get your car to go about 3 or 4 mph faster.
Words cannot describe how terrible it is.

In a word......... gawd awful! OK, that was actually two words.

Ugh. It looks like an attempt to copy Chaparral car, but with kidneys slapped on and nonfunctional aero-looking pieces.

Arctic Silver
Bad but in a darker color with a more aggressive stance and almost any other wheels, that car could look a lot better. The taillights gotta go but I think I could improve the heck out of it.

Stuff. I got stuff.
The promotions are so off. What a waste of money. You certainly can't blame someone for trying. To each their own.
The designer of the coach work and company owner gave a 30 minute presentation about this car at our local BMWCCA annual dinner meeting a couple of months ago. Super nice guy, and I see the car at our cars and coffee frequently as well. Even still, it leaves most people scratching their heads. I asked if he has plans for an ///M version, and he mentioned that most people are not going to modify a more collectible M Roadster for his body kit, so his panels are non-M only.
Here's some pics I took at Monterey this last summer:

Google up some pictures of the Daimler Dart SP250. Really study them.
Now this isn't so bad, is it?
/.randy
Id take the Daimler Dart over the "ZGT" any day. That body kit is one of the worst I have ever seen, and I've seen some really bad ones. The proportions are just...wrong.
The Z3 is a cool classic roadster in its own right. Why ruin the car by slapping that garbage on it?

Ok,
Remove kidney openings.
Move front turn signals inside intake ala Z8
Putty over NACA duct by side mirrors.
Single round taillights similar to early 60's Ferraris
Improved exhaust.
The biggie, the wheels and stance. Fatten it up, lower it down in the rear.
Paint it burgandy.
It will look pretty damn good. Don't think of it as a Z3. Maybe if I saw one in person I'd change my mind but I like aspects of the overall shape.
I'm weird like that, I guess. All alone here. Lol.

Stuff. I got stuff.
I'm OK with body kits in theory, but that looks like sh!t. If a kit improves a car, no problem, but no.....
This I would do...a Z4

Yep, a Z4 pimped with a Z8 body kit:
It looks pretty good in the photos.
