2003 BMW X5 3.0I door open?

Hey all, been having an issue with the door open warning light, every time I start driving forward or reverse it appears to trigger the door light, all doors and trunk have been checked, possible its a bad sensor? and also the alarm goes off randomly so I think it could be triggering it, any help would be highly appreciated.

Definitely sounds like an electrical issue with bad sensors. Are you able to have the codes read? This will give you a great place to start troubleshooting.

Figured out it was bad wiring in the kick panel on the passenger side, it was causing me to not be able to open my passenger window from the driver side, kept saying a door was open, and was also setting the alarm off randomly. sorry for the very delayed reply.

oh and it wasnt throwing codes or anything, it was causing an almost complete failure with accessories, A/C compressor for example wasn't even getting power.

When I first bought my 03 X5 my alarm was going off randomly. Turned out to be the hood switch. I just unplugged it. No issues since.
