    EWS broken

Hey everyone! Sooooo I might be missing a few brain cells or something because I was attempting to remove my ecu from the dme for a dinan tune. One problem, my car is a 98 and I now know (bit too late) that the ecu chip isn't supposed to be removed. In other words, I broke it off. So I'm up shit Creek without a paddle. It's looking like my car is gonna be parked for a bit while I get th8s sorted.

My question is. Do I have any alternatives to getting a new dme aka soldering a new ecu on. And in the case that I do need a new dme. Does anyone know someone who can align it to my car?

Hey, what model is your car and what engine is in it? Depending on what DME you have, it might not be too bad to fix this. You will likely need a new DME to replace the damaged one, but used ones are cheap. With some simple software, you should be able to get it aligned yourself to save some money. Once I know what DME you have, I can give you more info. You'll need a K+DCAN cable.
