A couple of years ago I replaced the flywheel/clutch on my '96 M3. I bought the parts before I took the gearbox out. I was having some drivetrain noise issues and suspected the DMF. As it happened this wasn't the problem but I replaced them anyway. The flywheel/clutch I took off (stock DMF and Sachs clutch) are actually in great condition and sitting in my garage.

I can now start to feel the clutch going in my 328i and was wondering if the M3 evo parts would fit without modification or issues. I know the 328i clutch and gearbox are the same as the 3.0L M3 but the Evo has the 6 speed gearbox and I was wondering about input shaft, release lever or any clearance issues. Does anyone know the answer to these things? I want to be sure to have the right parts sitting there when I pull it apart. The M3 was hard work with no help and a small garage.
