I'm selling a 1985 735i Euro with working a/c. Yes you read that right, the a/c works & was previously converted to r134. Fresh oil & filter change as well as tranny fluid & filter change. It's an automatic car has 200k miles & the odometer still works as well as the tripmeter.
It still has the euro 10:1 motor as verified by the compression #'s. Average cylinder pressure is 198 psi. Exhaust has no leaks and is solid. The valves have been adjusted & banjo bolts re-torqued. As far as how it runs, the motor makes good power & does not smoke. It's running off an .059 ecu tied into a single wire o2. The engine harness appears to be original, so plugging in an .061 dirty ecu is most likely plug n play. The highlight of this car is it does have a California BAR sticker, which may be very attractive to some.
It has a big case 3.25 open, cloth interior & manual seats. Radiator, brakes, & battery all replaced by the previous owner within the last 3 years. The undercarriage has ZERO rust, no rust on the bottom of the doors (the normal place), no rust under the trunk weather stripping or shock towers. There is one small spot of rust at the lower left corner of the window. Color code is Delphin, paint is in fair condition. Full rust free toolkit as well. The car rides very smooth with no bounce & handles like an e23. I would recommend replacing the center-link.
Also worth mentioning:
tires have plenty of tread
radio works along with power antenna
rear fog lights work
all power windows work
some receipts of maintenance by previous owner
plates are good till September in CA
For an e23, the body on this is one of the cleanest I've seen. The car is located in Huntington Beach for your viewing pleasure & pickup. I'm available nights & weekends to show the car.
Edit. As of 2/25 the car has been smogged and I have the certificate.
Asking $2200/obo

I love that interior. Would love to convert mine to cloth.
Release some air from that TRX and tell me how West German air smells.
I make E23 parts.

Hey was looking for shogun but anyone with knowledge would be appreciated. having problem with my e32 changed oil pan gasket and time cover gasket upper/lower. New tie rods and control arm bushings and motor mounts. Unfortunately my car still has a leak and now my alignment is off pretty bad the tires are slightly inward and makind a screeching sound I'm guessing due to the tied rod work. Alignment place is suggesting I get new control arms before alignment.... does this sound normal and what's can yhe leak be. Should I get rid of it
