Top Mount E36 Guys, Where Do You Relocate Windshield Washer Tank? (and FMIC Question)

Just curious what people on here have found to be the preferred option?

Also, what is the preferred FMIC that can be installed without too terribly much trouble. Minor fabrication is ok. Oh, I'm not running the front pusher aux fan or condenser. Seems like an 8x22x3.5 cored Treadstone might be okay, but I haven't torn the nose back off of the car yet. I'm hoping to get a jump on some parts buying before my opportunity to do work arrives. Thoughts?

    TIA!

I relocated mine to the trash dumpster. Maybe where the SAP pump sits for a more serious answer as for it fitting I have no idea. I mounted my treadstone with the condenser off the bumper crash sticks (framerail) which just some L shape tabs it's fairly simple mountup actually.

I dont use it. However if I did I'd get the euro one in the bumper.

If you want to keep yours get a large one and move it to the trunk, should be easy

    Straight man: "You have buddies?"
Comic: "Not after I threw washer tanks at them."

Seems plausible. That's where the E46M is. It's weird PITA place when you have to do a washer pump or whatever but it certainly leverages otherwise unusable space. Maybe I should try that with my M62TU catch can...

Assuming that you are in the "don't want that crud to drain back into my crankcase" camp, if you mounted the catch can down low in the area under the actual bumper you could punch a little access hole in the underside of the bumper facia or lower engine cover to allow for super easy draining of the can. That would be slick.

Servo actuated dump valve aka "James Bond oil slick" feature. Nice. Now how to get the 303's stashed behind the lights?

303s would be nice. But if I could only find the right spot to stash a remotely operated RPG...

I'm embarassed to say, I've never actually used rivnuts, so this little project seems like the perfect opportunity. I'm going to find or make some little container, and stick it to something in the engine compartment with rivnuts, dammit.
