It has finally come to the time I will have some extra cash to purchase a jack system for my shop.
I've got it narrowed down to two, and I wanted to get a general consensus on which is the most popular out of the two from our forum group here.
1) Ranger BL-5000SLX portable lift ($1,340)
2) Dannmar MaxJax two-post portable lift system ($1,999)
I have enough head room for the MaxJax, and I'm leaning towards it, although it is $660 more.
This is a significant expense, and I don't want to pull the trigger and wish I had done differently, so any recommendations from the peanut gallery would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...Bill.

I have a Maxjax since 6 years, no problems, easy to install and easy to store, we discussed that here https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...ghlight=maxjax

Looks like you may have more in the new suspension parts than in the lift itself!
I'm jealous of all the bling your installing in the picture.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the lift is just a drop in the bucket compared to what I've put into this car in the last few years
Dannmar MaxJax is the way to go. If you have a HomeDepot account, you can order it online at a discount, they deliver it to your local store, and you get 24 months interest free payments if you want.
It's easy to install and can be stored out of the way (takes about 15 minutes to put away.

...the price of cool ain't cheap!
I have 9' ceilings and although I shopped for a two pole lift (figuring I'd do more tire/brake work)...I am totally pleased (after 10 years) with a 4 pole, Direct Lift. It comes with casters and drip trays and has allowed me to move it and stack cars.
Best $2,500 I've spent!
I have been using the MaxJaxx for several years and its been one of the best tools that I have ever owned. It works with 9 foot ceilings, and stows easily when not in use.

Just googled Maxjax and found that that they are on sale here for $1999 and free shipping:

Yep. That seems to be the bottom price with free shipping.
It is a bit pricey compared to a standard two-post lift, but I guess they figure they can price it that high as your paying for the convenience and portability.

I put this Dannmar in last month. $2340. delivered. Did a lot of research and came to this one or a Rotary. Rotary was $$$ and an overkill. If you have he room, two post-top plate. I know all are referring to portables but figured I'd throw this in. Well worth another thousand $ compared to the $1399. Lifts of same configuration and capacity. No matter what lift- remember you will be under it!
