1995 E36 M3 Street/DE/Track Car - Norcal, Clean Title
The time has come for me to part ways with my 95 m3 track car. This car is fully capable and has been a labor of love for the past 8 years.
The car currently has 151k miles on it. It is on a clean non op CA title. The car will pass smog with installation of the original cat and stock muffler which I have. It's a bit of work to do this but I can complete the request if the buyer is in California and indeed wants the smog and registration done prior to receiving the car.
I am the 4th owner. I bought the car purley stock in San Diego in 2009 with 136k miles on it. While I have had the car it has spent most of it's life in LA from 09-2014. From 2014 until now it's been with me up in the bay area. Clean carfax, absolutely no rust. Other states the car was registered in were Texas and Florida. I have full documentation of my parts and work done including a spreadsheet of over $25k invested since I bought it.

Full Disclosure:
Car has been having what seems to be a head gasket problem for the past couple events. Symptoms are experienced while driving the car hard at events. While on the street at normals speeds like to and from the track the car does not overheat. At the last 2 events I can run 20 minute sessions before it will start to run hot. I then have to pit and cool it off 40-50 minutes until the next session. It typically will begin to run hot again toward the end of the next session. The car has full power, but this is obviously not sustainable. The cooling issue will have to be addressed. Head Gasket is the informal but likely diagnosis.
Car operates at full power. No white smoke, no chocolate milk in the oil. This is the original S50 with original head gasket.
Short Version
Please see the next post for ALL parts and services. I also have a lot of parts for sale separately or can be included as a deal. The price and descriptions of the spare parts are in that post as well.
I documented many parts of the build of this car on a blog. While my obsession has remained the time has waned. Just about everything ever done to this car is in here. Feel free to take a look. The most recent posts are probably the most important as things changed over time.

Here is footage of the last track day I did with the car. Even with the HG problem I want to show the car's capability. This is one lap of a track day at Sonoma in November 2015. Sorry for the shaky camera and angle, just an iphone attached to the roll bar.

I plan to update the thread with descriptive sale photos once I get it cleaned up. Hopefully in the next couple weeks. For the time being please see images in this flickr album.

Full Description
The car is essentially a track car you can drive on the street. Most of the amenities still remain. Car still retains power steering, working A/C and all radio wiring. No wiring in general has been removed. Original carpet is still in the car. Dash and center console original and in good shape.
Steering wheel and front seats have been exchanged for Racetech RT4009 and a Sparco 353. AKG Stage 3 Short Shifter with DSSR rounds out the touch points. Items that have been removed include the rear seats, sunroof cassette. In place of the sunroof is a S2R Tuning Carbon Fiber panel. TC Kline 4pt bolt in roll bar fills out the rear. Passenger airbag, factory seatbelts and rear interior panels have been removed but are included.
The ride is stiff but compliant. At one point there were solid motor and trans mounts, but those were ditched for AKG poly 75D motor mounts and e21 tranny mounts with AKG cups. The combination has little NVH and great performance.
Front and rear suspension have been completely overhauled. Rear subframe and all parts were blasted and powdercoated semi-gloss black. Rear subframe has aluminum bimmerworld bushings. Diff has aluminum mounts with delrin front mount from Turner. RTAB are Meyle HD with delrin limiters. Rear lower control arms are Turner Race. All other connections in the back including ball joints and rubber are OE BMW/Lemfoerder.
All reinforcements have been done. RTAB pockets, rear sway tabs and front subframe under the motor mounts.
Steering rack is the ultra quick 1.9 z3 rack with 2.7 turns lock to lock. Front control arm bushing have been replaced with new along with offset delrin TC Kline FLCA bushing. Car rides on TCK S/A coilovers that have around 5k miles on them. 450lb/500lb spring rates paired with Vorshlag camber plates for a front negative camber around 3-3.5 and rear of -2. Car has been corner balanced with driver by West End Alignment in Torrance by Chris and Darrin. Well worth the money. I'm roughly 150lbs.
Wheels are square setup 17x9 D-Force LTW5 in anthracite. 16.4 lbs a piece wrapped in Hankook RS3. Less than 1000 miles and 2 track days on the tires. A spare set of LTW5 with BFG R1 slicks are also available.
Brakes are PFC 01 all around. Turner cooling ducts with 3" high temp hose. Disconnects on fender lining. Stainless steel lines and wilwood EXP 600 brake fluid. Car is raced without ABS. All parts for ABS system are there and installed on the car.
Engine is currently running the Turner stage 1.5 chip with 21.5# injectors, and euro HFM. Eurosport carbon fiber intake with AFE cone handles induction while exhaust is taken care of by Bimmerworld 3" Race Exhaust and Y-pipe. TMS power pulleys, mishimoto aluminum radiator and stewart water pump are few more items under the hood.
Lots of maintenance, hoses, gaskets, cooling system and just about every part has been replaced or upgraded. Areas that haven't been touched are the actual internals of the motor and transmission. Clutch is stock.
This car is a solid platform and chassis to do what you wish with the engine. All bushings, suspension, reinforcements and interior pieces to go racing have been done. Car is well sorted in the chassis department, having gone through multiple shakedowns.
Besides the HG, other small items here and there are the button for the glove box, random plastic interior trim and a few exterior dings. Paint is in good shape. The car cleans up very well and can easily continue as a street car / weekend warrior car. Or you can strip it all down and go full race.
Car is located in Novato, CA

Would you be interested in selling the S54 oil filter housing + cooler + lines separately?
Very interested in a lot of those parts but I have other things I should be spending money on right now

If the buyer for this car is not interested in the Turner shorty headers, I will be interested in buying them. I would greatly appreciate it if you could keep me in mind!
Price drop to $11k and remaining spares. Flickr link updated. https://flic.kr/s/aHskS5ChT8
New Battery, started it up, drove around for a little bit. No overheating, but like I said it happens when you get on it for a period of time.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Whoever bought this. If you ever change your mind I'll more than happily pay to take this off your hands
