I'm new to the BMW world. My main question is I keep looking for performance parts online for my 3 series. But the only parts I can find are for the M3. How comparable would they be in the ability to install aftermarket parts between the two. Thanks.
Not much mechanically.
Engine shares nothing in common for the e46, even less for the e9x generation
E90 330i uses the N52 engine. ESS sells a supercharger kit.

Active sells a header and tune:

I would sell the 330i and buy an M3. You can find used E46M3 for as little as $15-$20k and used E90M3 for as little as $20-25k. Or a 335i, which is faster than your 330i and easily modded to be as fast as an E90M3, and can be found for $15k.
Forum sponsors, under the Vendors tab, offer many performance parts for e90 330i's. Most of it is about the suspension, as there is little to gain from the engine unless you go to forced induction, which is so expensive you'd be better off selling the car and buying an M or a 335. If you buy an induction kit, software and an exhaust the car will be slightly quicker and more responsive and it will sound much more aggressive, but that's not cheap either. The subforum for e90's has lots of advice and opinion, some of it excellent. Try starting with Turner, Dinan, TC Kline, and Ground Control.
