E46 323ci swap S54 question

Hello there;

I was wondering... I'm planing to swap my engine for a S54 (M3) - I have a E46 323ci M52

my main concern it's about all the modules: Airbag, ABS, Traction Control, DME, All the electrical, A/C, etc, etc


If I bought the S54, I'll need also all the modules from that engine? Or I only need the DME of the S54? or I don;t need any module from the S54?



any guidelines would be much appreciate it !

You would also need the wiring harness for the swap.

I would expect the modules that are not part of engine control to be the same, but I would check the part numbers for the ones you have, versus the module part numbers for the M car from which you're getting the motor. Realoem.com or another site which hosts the BMW parts fiche will be the place to go. It'll take some time, too.
