Hello, I got a code p1542 for throttle pedal sensor but being since in 2000 they didn't make the throttle pedal sensor on the gas pedal so I had to replace the throttle body/TPS with a new one and I did that about a year ago, code didn't come up for about a few months.. then code P1542 popped back up.. I said the heck with it and let it sit for awhile, recently started working on the car again and was searching on forums and the people that said they did this have success with it. They said that after replacing the throttle body/TPS they needed to go on INPA ediabas and reset the throttle adaptions on the DME.. anyone have luck with this? I just ordered the inpa ediabas set up so I'm hoping it works.. thank you in advanced for the help, just trying to get out of limp mode (EML) to set up the car for a turbo this spring/summer other than that she runs beautiful when the EML light isn't on
Bump
Make sure the connection is clean, and seated properly. After replacement it's recommended to reset adaptations.
Check for dirty, sticking IAC valve.
