WTB: 540i M-sport manual (California)

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good condition 540i M-sport with the following criteria:

Years: 2000+
Mileage: <100k
Transmission: manual
Mods: some basic ones preferred (coilovers, sound system, etc)
Price: <$10k
Location: California (West coast)

The above is preferred with good maintenance history and no accidents.
I am open to considering vehicles that fall outside of the features listed however.

Please let me know what you have with pictures and location.

Thanks berndtj... I've been looking at Dallas/Austin/Houston and some mid-west states as well on Craigslist, so I'm open to that if someone has something good to offer.

I agree - these are hard to come by. I'm in the Northeast - I'm finalizing a deal right now from an out of state seller.

Just curious about the one you bought in Texas! What color was it?

It has super-low mileage, but doesn't appear to be modified. Could be an interesting buy given that you're on the West Coast.

I saw that one and although it could be a decent option I was hoping to find something with a few mods just so that I wouldn't need to spend as much on top of the car purchase.

Give serious thought to this one. There aren't many clean, under 100k miles examples of these around. If I had the room, I'd seriously think about picking this one up.

But I just picked up a 2001 black 540i with 101k miles! Super excited but already have a small issue with a door lock actuator intermittently cutting out, so I'm replacing it this weekend.

After that I was thinking sound system upgrade, some coilovers and M parallel wheels (I'm looking if anyone is selling!)

What do you guys think?!
