DIY: Changing Fuel Filter assembly hoses with a twist;)

Tackling most overlooked fuel hoses on the entire car, the fuel filter assembly hoses. Most owners never change them and just reuse them after changing fuel filters, why? Because to change all the hoses in that assembly cost almost $100. The molded pre bent hoses on top of the fuel filters are $30 each! I did some research and I am gonna show you how to get the same BMW molded hoses and do the entire job for under $30!
I searched the BMW data base and found 1 fuel line that we gonna use to make 3 of the hoses that we need. BMW # 13901743626 It has a perfect U and two Ls that are exact fit. You will also need to buy one BMW # 13311288284 But it's cheap $12. These two hoses is all you need for this job.

Cut out the U and L shape on each side of the hose.

Result is exactly what we need! Perfect fit!

Next one of the bottom hoses, use the second L in the middle. I am usually not a big fan of extensions but for the sake of staying under $30 a quick trip to Lowes and $2 bucks later I got a brass coupler. Use the rest of the hose to extend. Cut to the length of the old piece. That's it! Now we have all brand new hoses.

Not that I could not have spent $100 and get the hoses but I enjoy outsmarting BMW sometimes

Outstanding tip and thanks for providing detailed photos. I'm definitely adding this to my notes on fuel filter changes.
