Ok, sorry dumb question but everything I read gives you different numbers. I'm running my car for the first time in months. It's getting hot, and although it's getting quieter it sounds like there's some noise from the bottom end. However:
I just got an oil pressure gauge and I'm able to read my oil pressure for the first time. When I'm running (hot) it sits at about 22 PSI. Is this normal? It seems really low. I put 7 quarts of oil in, if it's low I don't know why. If it's someone can please answer with the correct oil pressure at idle I'd appreciate that.

It depends on which engine but 22 psi at idle is totally fine. Some engines will be even lower at idle when hot.

The low spec from the factory is like 10 psi, most of them seem to be around 20 at idle
