Just bought a 2011 328i sedan with 56k on it. Generally in beautiful condition. Unfortunately looking at it with the headlights off they looked relatively clear, but later when I turned them on I could see they were quite hazy. I'm waiting to see if they can be "restored". If not they will need to be replaced. An oem pair new is about the price of a used car. Can anyone suggest reasonably priced, reliable aftermarket headlights. I just want to replace what is already there, I don't want to upgrade. TIA.
You should try and restore them yourself. Haze is usually from stuff putting fine scratches on the plastic lens. You can buff them like anything else, but be careful, plastic can melt. Low speed, not much pressure and time with the Buffer will do them good
I used a 3M kit and then Wipe New with excellent results. I've seen ads for detailers that do the job for about $40 which looks like a good option.
