That's what happens when it doesn't rain for decades then the city planners think the washes are a waste of space, narrow the washes and build on the land they got from them. Idiots. It used to rain like that when I was a kid growing up in the 70's. How people forget.

And, when we DO get rain it rushes to the ocean because instead of building reservoirs they build more communities....especially in SoCal.

This is a reason why they should not have homes near reservoirs...I grew up in this neighborhood but fortunately for us we moved in a few years after this and my house was above the break. The site is now known as Kenneth Hahn park.
