New to Forums/Need motor advice

Hi All,

Name is Christian, new to the forums and the world of BMW's, but recently started looking for a 1991 BMW 318is (darn youTube) and actually found one close that I want to buy. Only problem is that it has a blow motor due to a head gasket leak. Now, I know in most cases this would be a red flag/walk away situation however I am just looking for a project car. So with that in mind, could anyone point me in the direction of where to find a motor for one of these. Or what other motors are good fits for this BMW model. Also, not really looking to do a LS swap.
