Lightbulb e36 - Small block Swap - looking for vendors for mount kits

Been searching the forums and have only found information and vendor info for LS - Motor swap kits for motor mounts and crossmembers. Anybody know if a general small block 350 mounts similar to the ls motors or if somebody knows of a vendor that does small block conversion kits. Only reason im not going LS is i have a 400 hp built crate motor out of my brothers S10 i bought and my broken E36. Wanna make a drift missle on a budget, car has electronic EFI conversion etc . Anyway please let me know whats around.

    Thank you

I've never seen prefabricated parts for an E36/ SBC combo. There is one car that I know for sure is SBC swapped. If I recall correctly, he fabricated the mounts. His videos are on YouTube, not sure if he's a member here on BFC.

Either way, it's not a common swap. All this means is you may have to do some fabrication. A 400 will make that car run well.

yeah i have seen the videos too, i was just worried about doing that amount of fabrication as i dont have a welder, however as is a budget build if it comes to it i can probally get one if it comes down to it.

If you are going to do a "budget build", plan on doing the majority of the fabrication, wiring, etc on your own. A cheap Harbor Freight welder will help you save a lot of $ when it comes to welding all the small parts and pieces. It's not the prettiest way of sticking two pieces of metal together (flux core welding), but it works fine. Fabricating mounts, exhaust, etc will more than pay for a cheap welder (vs paying someone else). Even if it works only for the duration of your fabrication. :-)
