If you have an E39, check again with BMW. Mine just popped up for an airbag recall (log in to BMW) and the dealership did it right away. No charge.

It's not old news. The newest round of recalls is dated January 2017. My car was not included in the previous recalls, so I gave the advice to check again. What was the purpose of your post, geargrinder?
