You think that makes a big difference straightening out the exhaust under the seats? Do you have any data on that?

I have built a few exhausts, i can tell you from experience it makes a noticeable difference.

Im sure physics and something about momentum carrying into the bend instead out of the exhaust and pressure waves having the most effect at 90* from the reference..

Just an update, had walker make a 3" back with two Magnaflow's (12219). HO-LEE-SHIT. Sounds fantastic, I couldn't be happier. Lost .5lbs of boost, pulls like a raped ape. A/F didnt change much. Nice low rumble, screams up top...sounds like satan had taco bell for lunch, its fantastic. And its a good 25lbs if not more lighter than the previous setup.

3 inch sounds so good on these cars. I just finished up fabricating my own. Im still NA for now but plan to turbo later. I kept the stock headers, threw a bimmerworld y pipe on, into a vibrant resonator and borla xr1.

My CES exhaust is a 3" with with a magnaflow in the center and in the rear. Sounds nice and no drone but it's a bit loud for my taste. After reading this thread, it seems Vibrant or Borla is the moves for the rear muffler.

The borla is also really loud. I just like the sound a lot. It pops and burbles a loooot
