2016 340i earthquake sws-8 subs

Good evening.

I just purchased the "remainder" of my Bavsound kit this afternoon. I had the 7-piece kit from my previous 2014 328 hi-fi...... and I just purchased the remaining 7 pieces for my current car, with the H/K system.

I had the Bavsound subs in my last car too..... but was told by Bavsound they wouldn't work in my new car.... so I sold them quite some time ago. Truthfully, I was never terribly impressed with them anyway.

This time.... I'm going with the SWS-8 subs. Heard lots of great reviews.... so I'm going to pick them up w/ the adapter rings.

Question:

I know it's been asked before..... I've read..... and I "think" the correct sub is the SWS-8X.... (not the SWS-8XI).

I'm not an audiophile..... Don't really understand ohms and watts, and what my amp is doing, etc..... I just know I want it to sound good, and not blow anything up.

Would someone please confirm that my initial thought is correct before I purchase? Also.... if you can explain "why" it's the right set in simple English.... I'd really appreciate it.
