Title pretty much sums it up.
Car runs just fine, when cold it fires up on the first try. But soon as it gets up to NOT it won't start again. It will idle and drive just fine, but if it gets shut down while warm; won't start. Also noticed that during this summer sometimes it would have a hard start in the middle of the day, around 95f ambient.
Not really sure where to start checking on this one.
Have good fuel pressure, getting spark.
Thanks in advance !
Sounds like vapor lock
That's a possibility. If the injectors are leaking or the FPR is leaking the fuel in the lines won't stay pressurized and because of the heat soak they'll turn to vapor. Once this happens, fluid gas will not pass through.
Also could be an overheated ignition coil.
If your e30 runs bad, switch to Megasquirt first. Then try new spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires, oxygen sensor, crank shaft position sensor, coolant temp sensor, air flow meter, idle control valve, throttle position sensor, digital motor electronics unit, harmonic balancer, fuel injectors, engine harness...
I do like the leaking injector idea, so it leaks then on restart, the excess gas needs to cleared out. I would think that when it eventually started it would kind of run rough until the excess gas was burned off or evaporated
Sorry for the late follow up, work always seems to get busy when the car has troubles.
Haven't looked into the injectors yet.
I did replace the two pump setup with a deatschwerk 300 pump, with a new fpr about a year ago
Haven't ran into drivability issues yet, other than not starting when warm.
Replaced the ignition coil, did fine for a few days, now won't start up when it gets past the cold idle.
I have noticed it back fires a little bit when compression breaking.
Next course of action?
Thanks all!

injectors are fine.
Did it start not starting when warm when you replaced the 2 pump set up for the single pump?
See if it'll start with starting fluid when it's warm.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
Ever figure out the solution? I am currently having the same exact problems and cant find much on it.
your fuel pressure is good?
your car has a cold start injector on the end of the intake manifold. if its not even starting from that, its a fuel pressure/flow problem.
No e30s again.
