Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a good day!
I have a 2008 BMW 328i xdrive.
I've had the car for about 6 months now and this has always been a problem.
My Onboard info numbers are not accurate, the reason i know this is because the Miles to empty number goes say from 55 miles left to all of sudden 49 miles after i have only driven a mile or 2. just no consistency. Also something else im experiencing is the clock is normally wrong, every time i turn the car on, its a couple more minutes behind. The last problem i have as well is sometimes such as 3 or 4 times in a 3 week span saying "increased battery discharge". I've replaced the battery about 3 months after i bought the car. When i first bought the car i had it inspected and the guy said i would need a new IBS sensor. I have yet to change the IBS sensor so not sure if this is the cause of my problems or not but please help!!!
thank you so much!

Welcome to the forum Austin! The IBS sensor needing replacing may have something to do with the 'increased battery discharge' warning; so I would definitely address that. As far as the mileage setting, I don't think that you're having any inconsistencies there. It really has to do with your driving style and the computer catching up and figuring out the mileage. A 4 mile jump isn't serious at all - if you had an alert that you have 55 miles remaining and within a moment it jumps to 30 or so; then I would look into it as an issue - I think you're okay there. Perhaps get the codes read on the car and see if anything out of the ordinary shows up. Best of luck!
