I could not get the drivers to install on my laptop. I went through several procedures that i found on the web but none worked. It's very frustrating and the first error message was no driver adapters. The second error was hardware not ready? I dont have a windows 7 laptop and am really struggling making anything work I would like a detailed process for the installation. Im not computer illiterate but im not a coder either. Can anyone help? Thanks
I have it working on Windows 10 32bit. Put the drivers in capability mode and make sure everything is running as administrator.

I have PA Soft / BMW Scanner 1.4 working on a Windows 10 64 bit laptop. It didn't require any special set-up. I followed the install instructions and installed the drivers that came with the OBD2 connector. Are you running the program as an administrator?

I purchased a ~$20 BMW scanner 1.4 and ran into driver install issues. Thought that I would pass along what worked for me.
1. Download the x64 driver for Windows 10 from the following: https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm
2. Follow this foreign-language youtube tutorial to learn how to install the drivers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZLhlfDmmog
3. Plug in the scanner to my computer and then to my laptop and everything worked great after I staterted the .exe file: BMWScan140.exe
