BMW Scan Tool 1.4 install on windows 10?

I could not get the drivers to install on my laptop. I went through several procedures that i found on the web but none worked. It's very frustrating and the first error message was no driver adapters. The second error was hardware not ready? I dont have a windows 7 laptop and am really struggling making anything work I would like a detailed process for the installation. Im not computer illiterate but im not a coder either. Can anyone help? Thanks

I couldn't even get PA Soft to install on a Windows 7 32-Bit laptop. It installed and works just fine on a Windows XP laptop. I doubt you're ever going to get it to work in Windows 10.

I have it working on Windows 10 32bit. Put the drivers in capability mode and make sure everything is running as administrator.

Wow...this is the first time I've seen someone with it working on Windows 10. I had an older Gateway XP laptop sitting around so I just went that route.

I have PA Soft / BMW Scanner 1.4 working on a Windows 10 64 bit laptop. It didn't require any special set-up. I followed the install instructions and installed the drivers that came with the OBD2 connector. Are you running the program as an administrator?

I purchased a ~$20 BMW scanner 1.4 and ran into driver install issues. Thought that I would pass along what worked for me.

    1. Download the x64 driver for Windows 10 from the following: https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm
    2. Follow this foreign-language youtube tutorial to learn how to install the drivers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZLhlfDmmog
    3. Plug in the scanner to my computer and then to my laptop and everything worked great after I staterted the .exe file: BMWScan140.exe
