Wiper Help

I have a 2001 E38 Sport. It does have a rain sensor. Wipers do not work. I have googled the fixes out there and have had no luck. Swapped out relay, general module and wiper switch from known working parts car still with no luck - that is no power to motor connector. My question is can a failure of the rain sensor stop the wipers from working? If so does anyone have details on how to check it? By the way I do have power at the relay just not from relay to motor.

You might have wire/relay corrosion under your passenger side, under the hood, under your electrical compartment. I found dust and debris blocking the drain hole in the electrical compartment under the hood.

Been thru all that and all good. Specifically asking if anyone knows whether a bad
rain sensor will keep the wipers form working.

A bad rain sensor will only stop the wipers from working in the first position. The two further positions (constant wiping) would not be affected.
Did you check the fuse? (Fuse 3 under the hood).
