Hi. I have a 2003 E39 Touring with the comfort locking/unlocking system. ie: hold the FOB button down and windows and sunroof open or close.
Can anyone guide me as to how this system receives its "close" signal.
I realise that it originates from the remote locking system, and I think it goes to the Comfort relay. I don't know if any modules are involved between these two.

Basically I wish to know if it comes down to a single or pair of wires which may be grounded or may go high to 12volts?
Is it analogue or through the CAN Bus?
If its analogue, does it signal momentarily or remain high/low?

Reason for this is a project: I have an aftermarket auto-rain sensor (and auto-headlights) fitted to the car which works well.
I'm now thinking to expand its capabilities so that if the sunroof were left tilted and the windows cracked slightly on a hot day and it rains, the rain sensor could automatically close the car up using its own comfort system.
