Hi guys
New to this forum . I have a 2012 BMW X5 35i and the drivers door panel came loose . Brought it to bmw and they said they had to replace the whole door panel which cost $1200 !! Is there any other alternatives? Thank you

Without being able to see the panel we can't really advise. If it must be replaced, it isn't a difficult task and you may be able to find a replacement online or at a pick and pull type yard.

It's jutting out about an inch from where the window is . The BMW tech said one of the clips were broken but that particular clip connects to were the electrical wires are and that's why instead of replacing the clips they need to change the whole door panel

If it were me, I would check the wrecking yards there in or around Houston and pick up a replacement. Then remove the old and install myself.

Honestly I'm not a very hands on guy I actually have just half a mind to glue it back myself without taking the panel apart ? Is the possible ?

Can you determine where the clip has broken. I would try to reconstruct it but it may require skills. Do you know someone who could help you in some way.
Agreed. Seems that it could be repaired. First step would be to remove the whole panel though. Figure out what's broken and fix that part. Might take some clever thinking and some additional plastic and epoxy or...
