I have a 97 coupe and a 1 year old. He is out of the infant seat but still in a rear facing convertible in my 335i sedan. The car seat fits in there but barely and I want to get one for the E 36. Does anyone have a recommendation for a rear facing seat that takes up minimal room in an E 36?

Get a cosco, they're cheap but they are lean in material and meet DOT

There aren't car seat brackets in the e36, were you going to just use the shoulder,lap? I still don't like the way it's held in place without a rear restraint in place

FYI, if you want the car seat brackets these fit the e46 but you can pilot a slightly larger hole at the mating spot, I think 1mm larger and it will fit, it's what I did,

It's hard to clip the belts in, I find it easier to leave back seat cushion unattached, clip in, then push the cushion back down

Get one of those sweet Sparco racing infant seats...twice the price and no better for your child than any other seat...but they look cool!
