I have two problems, but I'll keep them in separate threads.
#1 - I started out trying to find the source of a belt squeak, replaced the tensioner and idler pulley. No luck. Then I noticed the belt was coming off the Compressor pulley (bottom far right pulley as you face the engine) I think it's the compressor. Each time i put it back on, it starts working it's way off again. Most probably the source of the squeak, but more importantly, I need it to stay on. Is it safe to assume the bearings are gone on the shaft of the compressor causing the pulley to lean allowing the belt to work it's way off the pulley? If this is the case, can the compressor be repaired or I need a new one?
Question is the ac belt the stretch type where it has no tensioner, to put the stretch type on they have this tool that helps installing the new one?
No, I only have one belt, serpentine. No separate ac belt. The lower bottom pulley, i think it's on the compressor, keeps working it's way off the pulley.
