Correct, only in the WG recirc pipe. I've never had an issue with the down pipe cracking but I've had issues with the WG pipe cracking with the Steed 1.0.

Where did you see the rating of your tubing? I got mine off summit and it's rated for like 50psi. Not that it will immediately burst at 51 but...

You guys ever think about doing nylon lines ? I have a kit that can press in GM/Ford quick disconnect fittings. I was thinking about running 3/8 nylon the whole way. Can even do nylon to rubber.

Not that I plan on doing it but the thought of sliding sideways across FIA curbing at the track with nylon fuel lines under the car would scare me. I'm surprised the damage on the aluminum lines didn't lead to a rupture.

Tonight I made up three stainless steel 1/4" lines, two for the WG's and one for the EFR recirc valve.

Do you run hardlines all the way for your wg? I run 1/4" hardline as well but I have a few inches of soft line at one end to allow for movement.

I will be in this iteration. Teflon braided though not rubber.

I thought about running braided ptfe 4an lines but figured hardline would be more reliable, especially in close proximity to the manifold.

My plan was to use the SS hard lines with short silicon vacuum hose at each end. Teflon hose would be nice but I can do a much tighter bend radius withe the 1/4" SS rigid line and I really don't like external SS braided hose as it acts like a hacksaw to anything it comes in contact with.

I used to have 1/4" brake like but I got tired of fighting with it every time I took it on and off so now I just use 1/4 fuel hose with banjo fittings for easy on and off. My wastegate is in a pretty cool location compared to some though

I don't know if they'd be more reliable, the flexible teflon hose would probably survive vibrations better but my only legitimate excuse for wanting the teflon lines over hard is that I like making them

I run a few inches of soft line at the end of my hard line in the engine bay to allow for movement.

I think either eay is going to be reliable if done right.

I'm totally not concerned about the durability of the stainless hard lines, I'm more concerned about the silicon vacuum hose. Has anyone had any issues with it? I usually just use rubber but the IWG actuator isn't very far away from the Steed.

I was able to tuck away the SS hard lines so that you would have to hunt for them to find them and not have them blocking access to anything. Two of them go from where the engine mount arm bolts onto the engine, along the sub-frame, up the side of the frame rail to the WG on the Steed. The other goes from the EFR recirc valve, behind the sub-frame to the other side of the engine and up to a Tee for the Tial BOV. I've used Adel rubber cushion clamps to secure the lines

Tonight I pulled the under tray off of the front of the car and removed the old hot pipe. I'll be making a new 3" aluminum hot pipe and by the looks of it I can fit a 4" turbo inlet pipe with AC still installed. The fit was close so I tapped in three smooth dents for the extra clearance.....

I tonight I finished up the 4" turbo intake pipe. I found a larger filter (K&N RF-1032) than the one I had. It is as big as would fit in that location. I also installed a heat wrap sock on the pipe to keep the heat of the exhaust manifold away from it......

Next will be the 3" hot pipe.

When I was looking for a filter, the parts told me that the inverted cone filters are not good for forced induction based on what the Vibrant catalog states. What's up with that, I've used one for probably 6 years now without issue.

I believe you would also need the modified AC lines as well
