You can also notch the SF and welded a reinforcement plate on top. I run my vacuum line through the SF. Even if the treadstone part fits, you would still want at least 1/4 inch clearance to allow for engine movement.

These are about the same total distance with the fitting screwed in as the nipple. I have installed one of these on a 7163 I can measure today for total length if need be. It will be similar to the length of the plastic barb, but you can run the fitting off at a 90* instead of having to push a hose on straight.

The stack height will be about the same, but as is, the straight version does not allow you to install the vacuum hose. At least with the right angle, you can install the vacuum hose. But the end of the fitting will be almost right at the SF and if there is engine movement, you will be banging the expensive turbo against the SF, something I would not want to do. I think you will need to notch or section the SF less with the treadstone fitting. I looked into threading a right angle fitting into the plastic cover, but would not have gained enough space. Maybe with the correct fitting it would work. I broke the nipple off on my 8374 test fitting it and installed a brass barb into the plastic fitting, but had more room in that application.

I'll rotate the compressor housing and take some pictures for you. The arm I made goes higher near the block for the compressor boost pressure fitting. It would be nice to have a banjo fitting at the spot as well so that there is more clearance for the boost reference hose. With the straight fitting, there would only be about an inch that it would have to do a 90° bend if the mount came lower. The fittings has straight threads and uses an aluminum crush gasket.

My mount arm sits about a 1/2" closer to the compressor housing than the Rallyroad arm in the picture. I'm trying to keep the distance from the arm to the poly mount stud short.

Looking good, im a week or two away from fitting my steed and 8374 also. If we are using the internal recirculating valve would we need a draw through tune and maf?

The meth nozzle holder is new. There is a guy from Toronto selling them on eBay. It comes with sharp edges so I streamlined all surfaces exposed to air flow.

I have been spraying pre turbo for a while but from a spot about 15" upstream of the turbo.

Buy a cheap 120-140amp flux core mig welder, auto darkening helmet, angle grinder and an abrasive chop saw. Go to pep boys or auto zone and spend $10 in tail pipes. Cut them up and weld them back together.
If you do 20 cuts and just can't get the hang of it, or you don't like it sell the crap on CL and call it a day. At least you tried.
If you find you love it , can't get enough of it, then sell it and buy quality machines.
But you could get everything you need to "get the job done" for around $400-500 max.
Sure it won't be rainbow colored stacked dimes but you can seal the pipe and say you did it.
I personally think every single person in this section should AT LEAST have the above.
Unless you just have money to burn and pay someone labor.

Don't get a harbor freight AC flux core wire welder. It will make you hate welding.

    I have a Hobart 140 mig welder and it's a great entry-mid level welder.

Home depot carries Lincoln, also Thermal ARC is decent.
You can get one for under $300 iirc. I've been thinking about buying a new mig, I currently have a couple of them. If I do , I'll sell you one cheap.

    Great welder for the money.
I have tries his eastwood, it works rather well for the money. Maybe stay away from the HF stuff. But Eastwood is a solid unit.
