N20B20 Timing Chain and Oiling issues

I am looking at 2012/2013 528is for my wife, I believe that is the N20B20 engine. Googling that engine, I see several posts (on other forums) that there have been timing chain and oiling issues that BMW dealt with by installing updated parts (timing chain guides?). It did not sound like people were talking about a full-blown recall, and I could not find any official reference to a recall or Service Bulletin. I also didn't find anything here at Bimmerforums using "timing chain" or "recall" as search terms.

Does anyone here know if this is an actual issue, or have any additional information about it?

There is not a recall on those parts.
