Hi everyone - this is my first bimmer post . I'm a new 2014 435i M Sport owner. I would like to switch out my stock tires for dedicated track tires. My question is two part:
- Has anyone found some creative avenues or services through which you can get your tires changed at a great price?
- Does anyone have recommendations for middle-tier track tires (being that I'm a beginner, I recognize the best of the best won't mean much to me now)
Thank you in advance and apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere already (couldn't find any good info out there).
Welcome to the forum! I like the way you worded your first question - creative. In short, unless you have a hook up; you're paying what everyone else is. I wouldn't recommend daily driving on dedicated track tires, as they'll wear them out really quickly. Get a secondary set just for the track. For track tires, check out the Nitto NT01 tires. What kind of tracking are you planning?

Thanks Dmitry! I'm still trying to figure out how I want to break into tracking. Unfortunately, there are far fewer technical circuit tracks in my area than drag strips. In order, I'm hoping to do the following:
- Learn how to drift [will teach me to understand under/oversteer better]
- Learn how to burnout (w/ Smoke) [for fun]
- Learn how to get around a track correctly, safely, and efficiently
I've been up night after night watching videos of people playing race simulation games like Project Cars, Assetto Corsa, etc. and I'm so eager to get onto a track.

That's quite a list - just know that you'll be going through tires really quickly. Do you have access to a secondary car? It's going to be tough of your new 435i to have to go through all that without incurring at least some minimal damage. I'm sure the car is still under warranty, so be very careful in that aspect not to void it by replacing parts. Let us know if we can be of help or if you have any questions.
