If you are interested in the original Hella Euro Clear headlights with OE part numbers, etc, but always thought they were too expensive, this will be the deal for you.
Recently Hella began manufacturing these lights per order vs keeping stock. We're looking to get between 20-30 people to pre-order (group buy) the headlights found here:

• 2 X Headlights - Original Hella OE Xenon - EURO STYLE, with auto-leveling
• 2 X D2S Philips or Osram OE bulbs - 4300K
• 1 X Pair of ICE VXX

Optional, we will be offering a Canbus ballast with D2S adapters for $80 more for the order so you will have a complete ready to install product.

Finally, depending on demand, we may be able to ask Hella to leave the units unsealed - this will of course allow us to add our EVO-X projectors, Orion V2/V4 rings, if you are interested, please put your name down on the list and note if you would like the OE style or unsealed style.

At this particular time, we've been informed that the first 26 units will not be unsealed, it looks like the group buy will be limited to 26 people for this one.
It's possible we'll do another at a later date when we can confirm if they are willing to make a special batch unsealed.

Sorry for the delay, this site is not updating us on responses so didn't realize there was so much demand. People are calling in to secure orders, so the group buy price is being put into the order.

here's the latest update:

8 total pre-orders will be distributed like so:
Batch 1
4 unit pairs arrive March 17-22nd roughly - will be shipped immediately.
Batch 2
4 unit pairs arrive March 29th-April 4th - will be shipped immediately.

For Batch 2, there is a possibility to add as many as 6 more spots, but it's possible that after that 4 for Batch 2, the next 4 will become Batch 3 due to factory availability

I have a question...for the unsealed version with the upgrades...if I purchase these do they come ready to install plug and play? Or would I have to do all the retrofit work myself?
I'm not up to date with the retrofits and what's best but I might be interested for April when car is out of storage

We will not be offering any unsealed versions. However, we have been working on a new technique that could open the permaseal units so that you would be able to do the retrofits that we'll offer. This will raise the price of the units at least by $300-700 (labor, parts, options, etc).

I still have my OE headlights on my '03, but have thought about changing to the euro clear units. I think the lighting is pretty decent in the factory assemblies. Can you explain, or point me something that explains the differences between the various offerings you have, how they differ from what I have as well as from an OE European unit?

If you get the Hella units - OE xenon - they will be nearly identical to what you have with the exception of the chrome reflector, clear turn signal cover, and no light bulb in the reflector area. The Euro pattern will also be different than the US stock pattern. Aside from that, no additional changes.

If you go with one of our retrofit house brand lights like the Projector39 Hella Style, you have many more options to get the same look as the Hella units for about the same price but you'll have better halos, projectors will be bixenon, and some other add-ons. This is become a more difficult option to get since the factory stopped making those lights and we're running out of stock.

The UK buyer will have to be a separate group buy because LHD is what we're trying to get first, but RHD will have to be separate.

I have a 2000 M5 with Xenon but the lenses are cracked. Will these just plug and play or do I need any additional items to add or switch over from the old units?

Thanks! They will not plug and play on a 2000 MY car, you will need the adapters we list on the web site to make it truly and OEM (they are not required, just nice to have).

Who supplied your exsiting stock of Hella style lights that you base your house brand lights on? Is there another source that makes something of similar quality that you will use once your stock runs out?
