confused X3 owner

Can some one help me out? I am not sure which nav unit I have. Its an imported x3 2007 from Japan.
It has a HDD nav unit in the boot, a naviagtion cd/radio in the dash with 2 knobs not one and no display on the unit as I have seen in other x3's - has a pop up screen on top of the dash.
The settings screen does not show any version numbers in the top right of the screen.

Can someone ID it for me and point me to how to update it or upgrade it and what I need to change?
