Brake lights, signals, and windshield wipers all stop at random and usually at the same time. From 5-20 mins up to hour at a time. Help please, almost died a few times due to this random wiper stop and rear ended from no brake lights.
Ever figure this out? I just noticed my brake lights are no longer working on my '84 728i. I'm digging in to this today. Brake pedal switch is suspect but I thought I would search the issue first to see whats been said and no real good info showed up. Several documented cases but no solutions.
Happy New year BTW!!

My issue was resolved with a replacement (used) pedal switch. Upon removal the original switch made grinding noises when depressed and did not have continuity when tested with a multi-meter. By contrast the replacement was smooth, silent and had good continuity.
I hope this helps fill in the search gaps.
