    exhaust tips

So, I have a strange question. What are the max size exhaust tips I can put onto my Z4? I'm looking to use a magnaflow muffler and put some nice shiney exhaust tips on them. I was looking at 3", but it almost looks like I could use 3.5 exhaust tips.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you everyone.

Oh BTW, the car is in the States and I'm stationed overseas right now so all of this is by research.

    TIA

I think it would be really tight. The opening is about 7.5" at it's widest part and gets narrower at the top of the opening. That portion of the rear bumper isn't perpendicular to the muffler. I'd be worried that in order to make it fit you would have to lower the exhaust to be dragging under the car or try to turn it so it comes out perpendicular to that portion of the bumper.

Also Magnaflows typically have at least an inch between to two exhaust pipes.

That's a good shot of the underbody.

makes sense, lose the two resonators and replace with a single muffler, then it's pipe straight back. That's a lot of pipe bending, make sure you have a good shop. Without the stock muffler, there is more room to fit the tips.
