I had Mpars, and went down to 17in style 32's on my 535. 235 up front 245 out back and I love it, compared to my Mpar set up which was 235/265. The car feels nimble and faster, Im still keeping the Mpars to change back and forth but the 17s were well worth it for me. Im also on Bilstein / racing dynamic springs.
blackdog, if that is anywhere near Sharon CT you're more then welcome to go for a ride to see what you think.. Its still a bit harsh for my liking and I will be going to Koni Yellows shortly. Im also going to try and get to FCP euro's cars and coffee on OCT 1st in new milford.

Lost my old photo hosting site and most recent pics. More or less as is except Ambers replaced w/ clears & t-stars on correctly but otherwise it's as the sig says w/ M5 Spring Pads. Rides very well.on T-Stars w/ 225-45 17 winter; 225-45 / 245-40 17 summer setup.
That being said your Vogtland setup you got there looks good.

Did Style 32 wheels came on E34? Do they come in staggered setup?
17in style 32's came on e39 chassis, staggered setup came on 540s. You can get the style 32 in in 16in diameter i believe but they will be e36 fitment and offset. As it was previously stated in the first post you will need hubcentric rings as the hub is different from e34 to e39.

I don't mind, i ask stuff all the time. Correct you would just need hub-centric rings, I believe you need 74.1mm rings that brings the fitment down to 72.5mm, Im not 100% sure. I would suggest getting the aluminum hub rings though and not the plastic ones, also use anti-seize when you put them on.
Im not quite sure why they are so popular, I have 3 of the most popular wheels for this car oddly enough- Mpars, Style 32s, and Style 5s. Compared to my Mpars they are considerably lighter with tires.

Style 5s look great! Love them. Wouldn't get those because of high maintenance. I had those in my previous E39:

7 spokes easier, but those tiny bolts
Style 32 looks good, I think it matches E34 body well and should be easy to maintain. I guess I will look for those..
I like style 32 as well.
Have you ever checked out http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/
My car came with style 48 from a e39, which are similar to 32s. If I ever upgraded to 17" then I would be getting 32s as overall both of them suit the e34 well.
No, I haven't seen it, cool

So, it looks like my car (similar color) will look like #2 from top on stock suspension
Is this 17s on 2nd picture?
Wow, this thread still has life in it. After several months of driving (or my daughter driving the car) there seems to be little complaints on the ride. She does say its not as smooth as when I had to OE 15" wheels, but not a big problem. I think I've read a 16" wheel will be a great compromise for ride, but I'm not into spending even more money. I love the stance and the look, can't wait to get it painted.
