Looking for extended leather dash pods. Color doesn't matter.
I would like share the leather patterns to make it easier for non-extended leather owners to reupholster their vinyl pods to leather.

Im not 100% sure on this but have heard rumor and am starting to believe, that the plastics of the dashpods for leather and vinyl wrapped are different in the effect that the leather versions have reliefs in the areas of the seams and more space between places like where the air bag cover goes.
I was able to get my hands on a VERY used set (pass pod had no leather at all) to make my own for my Mcoupe, and it definitely has the reliefs. I don't think the vinyls have them nor have I seen a stripped vinyl pod.

The two dash pods are indeed different parts. For one the switch blanks have plastic inserts and different contours to account for the application of the leather as the leather just doesn't fit the way that vinyl can. They are definitely out of different plastic molds. However, I have seen plenty of stock dash pods covered successfully in leather so it all comes down to the skill of the installer.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
If you just want to wrap the vinyl pods in leather, that is very doable. You would probably need to pull the vinyl off and sand them smooth.
If you want pods covered in leather and stitched like the OEM extended leather pods, that is much harder. The leather will butt cheek where the seam is and be too proud, so you need a channel to hide the doubled up thickness.
Yes, butt cheek is the correct upholstery term.

Like I said, $600 if we can get a couple people interested and I will ship out replicas.

But like you said, it all comes down to the skill of the install! Do you have pictures of this $600 setup?
